hearings on DNR proposed CAFO-related rules. Gene Tinker,
DNR coordinator for animal feeding operations, says some larger
livestock and poultry producers would be affected by part of the
rule change. Changes require national pollution discharge elimination
system (NPDES) permits for larger confinement feeding operations
in Iowa for the first time. All comments, written and oral, must
be received no later than Nov. 5. Contact Tinker for
